How do I maintain my deck after installation?
Rogers Build offers all our clients care and advice on their decking projects. This includes a site meeting on completion with clients to discuss their desired long-term look of the deck and how they want it to “age”.
Decks will perform their best if they have annual care and maintenance done to them. This will include cleaning, staining, or oiling. Decks will last far longer if adequate care is taken annually. Some tips below:
- Wash decks annually to remove any built up dirt or moss
- Apply oil or stain annually if you are wanting to keep the colour
- Have adequate underdeck ventilation
- Avoid having any part of the deck wet for prolonged periods of time.
